O.J. Simpson - If I Did It

In 1995, O.J. Simpson, a famous NFL player who achieved many honours, was acquitted of a double murder of his ex-wife and her friend, but found financially liable in a civil wrongful death trial. This book was written by him as a hypothetical account of the whole incident on the basis that if he were to have done it. Controversy surrounded the release of this book and the whole shipment was recalled, but that did not stop it from being leaked. A new version of the book will be released soon (supposedly Aug 2007) after rights to the book were judged to belong to the Goldman family. That new version will include comments from the Goldman family.

But before that, read the original version of the book, written in chillingly realistic and detailed account, of the murder case that gripped a whole nation.

William Gibson - Spook Country

Was quite surprised that quite a number of people were actually looking for William Gibson's Spook Country. I've got a HTML copy here so hope this will satisfy some of you out there. Should be a pretty good read. I'll know when I'm actually done with it.

The Punisher - Purgatory

"This 1998 miniseries marked the Punisher's return under the Marvel Knights label, a year after the 1996 series was cancelled. It's not written by Garth Ennis, but it'll do. In the story, Frank Castle has committed suicide, and he returns from the dead with supernatural powers and fights demons" and assorted creatures. Looks very different from the usual Punisher storylines and worth checking out. I loved the Punisher, unfortunately the movie was crap and the character never made it to mainstream appeal. Still, the comics were an excellent read. This should do it as well.

20 Million Miles More presented by Ray Harryhausen

Looks twisted - I have not had a proper read of it yet but as weird as it looks, it makes me want to put it up more. Written by Scott Davis and drawn by Alex Garcia.

Bastos (Socially incorrect in behaviour)- The Comedy of Rex Navarrete

I just discovered this guy over the weekend and he's mental! Now I know why Filipinos can be late for appointments but they don't mind at all! :) And while they can be sensitive, they are also a great friendly bunch who do not mind laughing at themselves and their quirks, as demonstrated on this audio recording of Navarrete's skits. I enjoyed this comedy audio recording immensely and perhaps a number of you out there would too!

Robert Greene - The 48 Laws of Power

Transformers - Megatron Origins

A new series on the Decepticon Megatron - the first 2 issues of a 4-issue run have been released. Written by Eric Holmes and inked by Alex Milne, this continues the various Origins series from IDW. A good read, as it looks into the background of the Decepticon legion figurehead.
